HAPPY BIRTHDAY AKPAKA THE WANDERER

Today marks the birth of an independent man, a man of visionary leadership. His records stand the test of time. A name that will not be easily forgotten in the history of UNN student politics.
A pharmacist, a superlion with a great passion for his profession. The few times I spent with you sir left a lasting impact in my life, especially politically.
May the Lord who has thus far brought you never leave you till He has fulfilled every promise He made concerning your life.

Happy Birthday Comr.  Akpaka Basil Nchekwube
THE WANDERER!!!

BEFORE YOU PAY SCHOOL FEES

OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION OFFICER
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA
BEFORE YOU PAY SCHOOL FEES
First I must commend the cooperation of the Lions and Lionesses as regards the issues we have been dealing with thus far. May the good Lord bless our struggle.
According to the promise made us as regards school feea schedule, it was meant to be online by close of work yesterday but up until this moment, we are yet to see it on the university portal. It was in expectation of this that we asked you not to pay school fees yet so as to avoid overpayment of any form as refund may not be possible.

RT. HON. TETE LILIAN IS +1 TODAY

OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION OFFICER
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA
A LIONESS OF REPUTE IS PLUS ONE TODAY!!!
Leadership is a quality that is rare and when it is found in anyone, he/she stands out in the crowd.
She does not make much noise but her impact is felt throughout her circle of influence.
While in The House of Representatives in the 2014/2015 SUG, she was a friend to everyone and her close friends have a special name for her. That I will keep classifies since I don't have her permission to make it public.

SPECIAL APPEAL TO ALL RETURNING STUDENTS

OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION OFFICER
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA
SPECIAL APPEAL TO ALL RETURNING STUDENTS
While we maintain our struggle for the final year students who are facing the unjust shock from the hike in their school fees, we wish to appeal to all returning students to join us in solidarity.
Consider this, if we lose this fight, it will remain a policy and soon it will be your turn whether you are in second year now or third. Thus, we appeal to all retuning students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Enugu Campus to desist from paying school fees until this error is corrected. Let us all join hands to fight this once and for all.

STRICT WARNING TO ALL FINAL YEAR STUDENTS

OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT,
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA
STRICT WARNING TO ALL FINAL YEAR STUDENTS
#CHUKWUsays...
Good morning most distinguished Lions and Lionesses, I greet you all with warm love and deep respect. Welcome back to a new academic session full of opportunities for success.
On the trending matter of the school fees increment for final years, I want to warn every final year student to refrain from paying school fees yet. If a few pay, we can only discuss from a weak background.
The last time I discussed with the Vice Chancellor on the School fees issue, He told me that, although the University is running on low funding, he is doing all he can to make sure fees do not increase more than insignificantly. Considering the shocking increment for Final years, I can say it's not from the Vice Chancellor's quarters, we know where it's coming from and we can assure you that we are still the voice of the voiceless and will take care of the matter, only we warn, NO FINAL YEAR STUDENT SHOULD PAY FEES YET!!!
Freedom in our bones!
Comr. Emmanuel Chukwu GCLR (President, SUG UNN)

STUDENTS PRAY FOR US!!! Sincere Appeal from the SUG, UNN

STUDENTS PRAY FOR US!!! Sincere Appeal from the SUG, UNN

We have taken time to read the comments of many persons on social networks since we made public our findings about the university's subtle plan to increase school fees for final year students. The comments have been a mixture of hope and indifference, while some repose their hope in the ability of the SUG others display a mind of defeat with the belief that nothing may be done about it. On this note we should all be reminded that what gives result in all our struggles, even ALUTA, is neither hardwork nor prayers alone but a good combination of the two.
The motto of my primary school reads: WORK AND PRAY. This is the only thing that brings success. On this note, I wish to remind us of the initial plan to add some money to our school fees for UNN BUSINESS SCHOOL and how together we all fought and won that. When I say we, I mean the SUG and the students. While we sat at the negotiating tables, you supported us in your prayers from home and together we won. I must confess, that victory is still a miracle till today, building up our testimonies for the D-Day.
This is another time like that. If you have tasted leadership anywhere, you will know how difficult it is to work and pray at the same time. This is where cooperation comes in. While we work for our common course, you pray for us and God shows us mercy by making our cooperate efforts to yield fruit.
Please do not be fainthearted at this time, so many things happening since we assumed office make it clear that the Lord God Almighty is on our side and He will not fail us, even in these trying times. In the same way, the SUG, led by Comr. Chukwu Emmanuel, has also promised not to fail you and we are working very hard at it, we therefore plead that you also not fail us by giving up too early and resigning to fate without a fight on your knees. That will be cowardice on your part.

BRACE UP LIONS AND LIONESSES!!!
This is not the time to be defeated. Remember, it is your mandate we carry and so your support and cooperation is needed. Together we shall do our best and where our strength and wisdom fails us, the grace, mercy and favour of God takes over, and who knows, another miracle may be closer than we expect.

SPEAKER OF HOUSE, UNN GETS THROWN OUT OF VEHICLE

Seems like there's trouble in paradise as the speaker of the house of SUG UNN, Rt. Hon. Emenike Victor was forced out of the car enroute to Abuja for a courtesy visit by members of the executives.

Sources say that the cause of the action was that the speaker,Rt. Hon. Emenike Victor despite benefitting from the union went ahead to go instigating House members against the president and his excos, telling them that the executives have been making unnecessary withdrawals from the Union's account.

So far, the executives of SUG led by the president has done as much as they can to ensure they carried the leaders of the various arms along in the various decisions of the Union with the expectations that each leader will pass every resolution to their people.

This said speaker of the house who is known for planting discord and disunity among members has also been identified as power hungry and a coward who will not be bold enough to do so himself but instead he tells others to do so for him and warns them not to mention his name.

ADDITION OF N16,000.00 TO THE SCHOOL FEES

OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION OFFICER
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA
Re: ALLEGED ADDITION OF N16,000.00 TO THE SCHOOL FEES
While we appreciate the fact that we are in an academic environment, and thus students are free to react to rumours and hearsays especially via social media, we also wish to encourage all well-meaning Lions and Lionesses to always confirm rumours before either sharing or making negative comments, especially as regards unpleasant rumours.
